Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Cabernet in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!"

Must Have Hit A Nerve

Apparently I hit a not so funny spot with some that take life to seriously. I don’t have a politely correct bone in my body and probably never will.

So if I offended any reader’s of yesterday’s blog I’m sorry. And a as warning please don’t read any political cartoon’s or watch any late night TV like Saturday Night Live ect.

This is why it’s great to be a American, you can agree to disagree with anyone and anything and everyone can have there own opinion on what they think is humor and what is politely incorrect.

If everybody blogging always agreed with everything that was posted how boring would it be.

For me when I read this I envisioned in my mine a skit from Saturday Night Live.

So lets all take a deep breath and please don’t take away my blogging license….

Wednesday Funny

Barack and Michelle are at the White Sox game.

Sitting in the first row with the Secret Service people directly behind them,

one of the Secret Service guys leans forward and says something to the

president. Barack stares at the guy, looks at Michelle, looks back at the

agent, and shakes his head violently.

The agent then says, "Mr. President, it was a unanimous request, from the

owner of the team down to the bat boy. And...the fans would love it!"

So, Barack shrugs his shoulders and says, "If that's what the people want."

He gets up, grabs Michelle by her collar and the seat of her pants, and drops

her right over the wall into the field. She gets up kicking, swearing, and

screaming -- and the crowd goes wild, cheering, applauding, and high-fiving.

Barack is bowing and smiling, and leans over to the agent and says, "You

were right, I would have never believed that!"

Then noticing the agent has gone totally pale, Barack asks what is wrong.

The agent replies, "Sir, I said, they want you to throw out the first PITCH ! "

Wednesday Funny

This pretty well sums up men and women.

Wife's Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.

I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it.

Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong;

He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset.

He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving.

I can't explain his behavior I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.'

When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.

He just sat there quietly, and watched TV.

He continued to seem distant and absent.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed.

But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else.

He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

My life is a disaster.

Husband's Diary:

Boat wouldn't start, can't figure it out.

Shake Down Trip

Our shake down trip started Wednesday morning. We were loaded up and on the road for our long road trip (20 Miles) to Westin Bend State Park.

My trusty copilot Annie making sure we were going the right way. She was not to sure about riding in a house that was moving.

002

We got there everything went smooth on the drive, found us a nice spot to park. The camp ground was not very crowed so we had a few to choose from.

004

Everybody resting after our long travel day.

007

006

012010

Camp site all set up.

009

Our first dinner from the Tioga kitchen.

015

Everything was relaxing and going pretty good until !!!

The camp ground host came around selling bundles of wood for $4.00 a bundle. I bought two.

The wood looked good and dry. Not

014

I think they soak this stuff in some fire proof liquid. If I every build a house I want to use this wood. I used a can of lighter fluid trying to get it to burn and all I got was this.

023

I had to find something that would burn, my man hood was on the line.

021

I know WD-40 is like Duct Tape it’s used to fix almost anything. Found my brand new can I bought for the motor home looked on the back to see all the things it would do,but not one word about starting a camp fire. After spraying it on the small flame I see why it was not listed on the can. That stuff is like a flame thrower ,and it worked after a half a can.

025

My man hood and camping skills were saved by WD-40.

026

This is the look of     Your my HERO…

027

This is the look of I’m tired trying to start a fire.

018

Annie standing guard..

We did have a good shake down trip and everything worked great.

Wednesday Funny

Todays funny is from some pictures I took on the church grounds.

If you have been to the eye doctor and he gives you the eye test and will ask if you can see some number’s or letter’s. Well I made one up with pictures.

The doctor will ask as you look thru the eye glass machine and he flips thru the different lens is this one better or is this one better?

Can you see the deer in the picture?

002

Is this one better or?

003

Is this better?

004

Ok how about this one can you see the deer now?

005

Ok ok stop booing, maybe I should stick to using other funny peoples material and stick to doing what ever I’m good at..

Today we are going on are first camping trip with our new to us Tioga. I will report back Sunday how it went.

Loading Up

We spent most of the week loading up our Tioga and getting it ready for its maiden voyage.

It’s amazing how many things you need to buy and put in a rv. We installed a 15 inch flat screen TV and wall mount and then it was off to a local rv supply house to get two roof top vent covers,so you know that you can’t go to a place like that and get just one or two things, every isle you go down there are things you can’t live without. (note to self stay away from rv store)

004

I found the windshield and tire cover’s in a cabinet. I did order and get a gallon of the Solution waterless rv/car wash.Rick  http://rickpaulettervjournal.blogspot.com/ talked about getting some and how he liked it.

It sure made the old rig look pretty good and was a breeze to do.

The grandkids came to spend the weekend and have spent most of the time camping out in the driveway. Savannah watching a movie.

002

Riley found a cool place to take a nap.

003

Saturday night they  talked grandma into sleeping out in the driveway camp ground. I have to work early Sunday so I got lucky and slept in the house with the dogs.

We hope to take our first trip this coming week depending on weather and how mom is doing hospice care is starting this week, she has been falling a lot and has cut her head falling.

Feeling Unappreciated Lately ?

The next time you feel that nobody loves you,
No one cares, or that no one ever notices you,
Think of this guy:

ATT8000641

Things Got Ya Down? Well Then, Consider These .. . .. ..

In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 am, regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the super natural.
No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 AM Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents . The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 AM all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits. Just when the clock struck 11:00, Pookie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner.

Still Having a Bad Day?

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

Still think you are having a Bad Day?

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman.

Are Ya OK Now? - No?

Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany . Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

What? STILL having a Bad Day?

Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'Return to Sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb; he opened it and was blown to bits. God is good!

There now, Feeling Better? I am.

Tioga Party

Last week I was talking about how much Angela and I missed camping and being outdoors. Well I was looking thru Craigslist and came upon this 1988 Tioga 26 ft. camper with 52xxx miles.

We drove the 30 mile’s to take a look at it, a older gentleman  (mid 70’s) and his wife were selling it because they could no longer go camping because of health problem’s. They were the second owner, the first owner had passed away and his wife sold it to them.

They had all the original paper work from the time it was first sold to the first owner paid $45000.00 for it in 1988. We drove it down the interstate and it purred like a kitten with its 460 engine it cruse right along at 65.

When we got back to his house I knew I had to have it,so I gave him a low ball offer to get it started,I didn’t think he would take it but we had to start some where. He came back and bumped it up just $200 and I stuck my hand out and said deal.

I didn't even know if everything work or not because he had no way to plug it in to see,but you know when you get that gut feeling and by the way it was taken care of and we could tell the seller was being honest, you just know.

This thing even has a generator Onan 4.0 with only 111 hours,he said he could not get it started, but he would take it in and get it going. We wrote him a check and told him when the check cleared and he got the generator running to give me a call and we would come and get it.

Thursday we got the call that it was ready to be picked up,we could hardly wait to get it home. Friday Angela spent the day cleaning and dusting and moving some of our stuff in.

So here is our new (to us) Tioga..

006

Can’t wait for our shake down trip in a week our two.
